Walcott is confident he will be fit to play for Saturday’s premier league
opening against Aston Villa despite limping out of England’s win over Scotland
with a knee injury.
Walcott
scored England’s first goal in the 3-2 win on Wednesday evening but was forced
off after 75 minutes complaining of a knee injury.
The state
of the injury could keep him out of the Premier League opening on Saturday
against Aston Villa.
However the
24-year-old believes He will recover in time for the weekend.
“Hopefully,
I’ll be alright,” He told sky sport. “I had to come off with a little bit of
swollen knee, I can rest up and I’ll be alright for Saturday Game.
