Jack Wilshere has admitted that it
is important for Arsenal to turn their attention to Wednesday night’s Champions
League qualifier with Fenerbahce.
The Gunners had a horrendous start
to the Premier League season as they were beaten 3-1 at home by Aston Villa to
on Saturday in disappointing fashion but the England international has urged
his teammates to forget that and move on to Turkey midweek.
"We don't want to waste all the
good work we did last year," Wilshere told The Sun.
"We have got to be up for that,
and get into the Champions League.
"After that anything can happen
and if we focus on the big games we will see where we are at the end of the
season."
The 21-year-old had an injury-hit
campaign in 2012/13, but is adamant he is fitter than ever, and ready for a
sustained period in the first-team.
"I feel good to have a first
pre-season in a few years behind me," he added.
"I have missed a lot of games,
and I want to be involved in the big ones."
