With
2 days to the kick off of the new EPL season, Arsenal are yet to make any
sensible signing in the transfer market. However, sources close to the club are
of the believe that Arsenal fans will be happy come the end of the transfer
window. It is said that the club are secretly negotiating for multiple number
of players at the same time with the intention to sign 3-4 of them.
Gustavo
is one of such players the club is negotiating for. The Brazilian wants to
leave Bayern Munich in search of first team football and he has privately told
those close to him he prefers a move to the English premier league with Arsenal
in particular is number one choice. Although the media in German are of the
opinion that the versatile midfielder is closer to signing for Wolfburg than
Arsenal this however appears not to be true as Gustavo has declared he wants to
play for a club in the champions league.
Another
target is Luiz Suarez who the club is hopeful they will sign having had 2 bids
rejected with a third bid been prepared to go in this week. Julio Cesar is also
interesting the club and they are of the believe the Brazilian will finally
agree to lower his wage demands.
The
club is also according to various reports monitoring the Cesc Fabregas
situation with Barca. Arsenal have a buy back clause in the contract of the
Spanish that is pegged at 25 million should Barca decide to sell or Cesc decide
to live. Although Fabregas has said he wants to stay for one more year, it is
believed the lure of regular football and the fear of missing out of the world
cup party next year and the fact that his girlfriend wants him with her in
London may make the former Arsenal captain change his mind.
Wayne
Rooney is also another option for the club. Rooney is seeing as an option
should the attempt to sign Luiz Suarez from Liverpool fail. Although the
striker wants to go to Chelsea, Manchester United have reportedly made it clear
they will not be selling to Chelsea but are instead open to the option of him
moving to Arsenal. Other targets are Fellaini, Michu, Jackson Martinez and Lars
Bender

said and done, we hope Arsenal will do the right thing for the club in the
transfer market in the next 2 weeks
